Having grown up on the Moray Coast, I have always felt the strong pull of the sea – an anchor on my heart that constantly tugs at me. I love nothing more than to immerse myself in seascapes and so I had to put this blog post together for the Welcome to Scotland #ScotBeaches week – any excuse to highlight our beautiful coastal gems! With over 7,000 miles of Scottish coastline I still have many beaches to visit, but here are some of those that have soothed me in recent years.

Of all the beauties around the country, Findhorn is the beach I love most – here’s what Findhorn means to me.
Love your selection of beaches! I don’t know many on the east coast but they all look spectacular. Islay has some amazing ones, as do Mull and Iona. Great photos!
Thank you, Jo! So many beautiful beaches in Scotland – I’d love to explore further down the east this summer. I’ve never been to the East Neuk so that’s on my ‘must-visit’ list 🙂
Lovely, I am looking forward to exploring more beaches.
Fantastic images and selection of beaches there Emma.
Makes us want to jump in the car and go!
Thank you, Scott! (You should, especially during this sunny spell) 🙂
